Shri Jagannatha Chetana Gavesana Pratisthana
‘Shri Jagannatha Chetana Gavesana Pratisthana’ has been formed comprising of a few torch bearers of Shri Jagannatha Temple Managing Committee, senior Administrators of the Central & State cadre alongwith some retired officials, ex-vice-chancellors of the Universities, Researchers, Literary authorities of the Srimandir as well as officials, skilled organisers & other celebrated citizens of the society.
The worship and rituals concerning Lord Jagannatha is based on Vedic tradition. Shri Jagannatha Chetana (consciousness) is spreading far and wide being accepted by the devotees of the world and manifested through the ‘Rath Yatra’. In order to strengthen this consciousness, the Temples are erected in different other places on the efforts of the ancient Monarchs & Land - Lords as well as the common devotees of the modern times. As per available sources, there are three thousand Jagannatha temples found in Odisha and another about Six hundred temples in other part of India. Besides these, hundreds of more temples have also been constructed by many non resident Indians abroad. The methods of Worship, rituals, festivals etc. are significantly dissimilar as per adopted system at Shri Jagannatha Temple in Shrikshetra and lacking the usual emotional bond. Neither the Shri Jagannath Temple Administration nor any institution in the past has made any effort in this direction. Is it not necessary to maintain and observe minimum uniformity and keep emotional bondage intuct ?
Is it not appropriate to gear up efforts for the development and declaration of spiritual status to a Temple like the twenty holy places identified till date amongst so many holy sites where Lord Shri Jaganantha created His leelas during the last milleneum like the ‘leela kshetra’ of the Lord Shri Ram & Lord Shri Krishna ?
Is it not the demand of the day for expansion of the miracles of Shri Jaganantha consciousness by way of publication of treatises upon the undiscovered aspects of the ‘leelas’ of Lord Jagannatha.
Keeping in view the above facts, a unique ‘organisation’ namely ‘Shri Jagannatha Chetana Gavesana Pratisthana’ has been formed comprising of a few torch bearers of Shri Jagannatha Temple Managing Committee, senior Administrators of the Central & State cadre alongwith some retired offcials, ex-vice-chancellors of the Universities, Researchers, Historians, learned personalities, literary authorities, senior servitors of the Srimandir as well as officials, skilled organisers & other celebrated citizens of the society.
Let us join hands for expansion of Shri Jaganantha consciousness in shape of extending all co-operations to such noble cause by sanctifying ourselves with the blessings of the Lord Shri Jagannatha bestowed upon us.
